How it Works ?

Our Success Partners

MSC (Mediterranean Shipping Company)

MSC is a leading global container shipping company, founded in 1970 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. It operates a vast fleet of ships, offering ocean freight, inland transportation, and logistics services worldwide. MSC plays a crucial role in global trade, connecting over 155 countries. The company is also committed to environmental sustainability, investing in cleaner technologies to reduce its carbon footprint.

EMYG (Émyg Environnement & Aquaculture)

EMYG is a French company specializing in systems for storing and transporting live seafood. Their innovative filtration technology ensures optimal conditions, keeping seafood fresh and alive from harvest to consumer. EMYG's solutions are widely used in restaurants, seafood markets, and by companies dealing in high-value seafood, helping to maintain product quality and reduce mortality rates.

The Living Chain Business Process

1- Selection and Preparation

The process begins with the careful selection of high-quality crustaceans and shellfish, such as Canadian lobsters, snow crabs, king crabs, oysters, and scallops. These are sourced from the ocean and prepared for transport.

2- Water Treatment and Storage

Using technology developed by EMYG Environnement & Aquaculture SAS, the selected seafood is placed in specialized wet storage systems that maintain a closed-loop seawater circuit. This system purifies and treats the water, mimicking the natural conditions of the ocean, which helps reduce stress and mortality rates among the seafood.

3- Shipping

The seafood is then loaded into containers equipped with HNNYBL's patented AQUAWAY® technology. These containers are designed to keep the seafood alive and in good health during transit. The containers maintain the appropriate water conditions and temperature, ensuring that the crustaceans and shellfish remain in their natural state.

4- Global transport

HNNYBL Canada has partnered with the Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), a global leader in shipping. Through this partnership, HNNYBL ships its containers on MSC's container ships to various global ports, including those in the Middle East. This partnership allows HNNYBL to control the entire shipping process, ensuring the seafood arrives with a low mortality rate and no quality degradation.

5- Market Delivery

Once the containers reach their destination, the live seafood is delivered to retailers, restaurants, and hotels. The seafood is often held in holding facilities that continue to maintain the optimal living conditions until they are ready to be sold or served.
